1  Migraine I started having problems with my feet and legs and falling to the ground. They checked me for MS it wasn’t. I’ve been disabled for about eight years on a wheelchair Walker and totally bedridden. They started giving me oxycodone and morphine for the pain then the buprenorphine for a couple years. Now I have an addiction that I’m currently trying to fix and I am going through with horrific withdrawals. Please do not ever ever ever take a Relpax. It is not worth the side effects they couldn’t find a pulse in my feet a couple times I was ready to surgically take care of it removing my feet so this is a serious problem and needs to be dealt with please beware and don’t use it if you have any feet problems or hands. I’ve been researching and people of died from this drug and are having serious issues for the rest of their lives just needs to be taken off the market I’ve been researching and people of died from this drug and are having serious issues for the rest of their lives just needs to be taken off the market. I am currently talking with the FDA, all of the national news and new stations so that people can know because the doctors aren’t telling people I wasn’t told. I’m contacting an attorney I’ve contacted Relpax and I am doing every review so that people can understand what’s going on. This is an evil drug stay away! F 58 5 days

3  Migraines It worked well at taking away the pain and lasted about 8 hours, so I didn't need to take a second dose. I've been Imitrex for years and it now wears off after about 4 hours, which is why my doctor suggested Relpax. But last night my heart felt a bit weird, and today there's a lot of pressure in my head that I don't usually get with migraines, so I'm afraid to take it again. I have a message to my doctor about it. F 54 1 days

1  Migraines Worked great the first few times. I had some minor muscle weakness. Then the 7th or 8th time I took it my entire right side went numb. I couldn't move my arm or leg and couldn't speak for about 20/30 minutes. F 33 4 weeks

5  Migraines NO side effects! Relpax is a Godsend. Literally. I read some of the accounts written by others on here how they've had horrible side effects. I have had absolutely NOTHING side effect wise. If anything, I have had re-bound headaches from Relpax, but that is if I take 2 - 3 within a few days. I started on Relpax in 2002. Never looked back. I do want to add that I have tried Imitrex (sumatriptan) as well as Zomig (zolmitriptan). The Zomig seemed to work but the Imitrex did absolutely nothing for my migraine. Most of my migraines are hormonally related. I do know my other triggers though as well. I'm hoping Relpax (electriptan) goes generic soon because the patent for this stuff expired in December 2016! Oh the money I would save! Make sure you go to Relpax's website to get a co-pay card. It will knock off $100 a month for this stuff. F 41 15 years

1  Concussion After I got a concussion, I was given Relpax to deal with the severe headaches it gave me. The side effects caused one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. My skin feels like it's burning, especially around my jaw, as if somebody is continuously sticking me with needles. My throat feels tight and it's so hard to breathe. My neck is in immense pain and my jaw is locked up. My head has a ton of pressure in it. The only way I can describe the pressure is that it's as if someone has pumped my skull full of air that has no way of escaping. I have never experienced side effects from any medication I've ever taken in the past, so these really caught me off guard. The terrifying side effects triggered a panic attack for me as well. Overall, I feel awful. Honestly, I don't think this drug is worth the side effects. I've taken it three times now. hoping the side effects would subside after multiple doses, but they have only gotten worse. Find a different medication for your migranes. F 17 3 days

5  Migraines SOME tiredness. Minor "brain fog". Relpax works for me. I've had migraines since my college years in the late 70s. Started taking fiorinal in the early 80s but built up some tolerance and did not like how much I had to take to achieve pain relief. Dr prescribed Imitrex,Maxalt and Zomig. Had reactions to all of these with tightness in throat and chest. I get none of this with Relpax. Alleviates the nausea associated with my migraine. Works best if taken at the first sign of a headache. At my age , my hormonal associated migraines have diminished but I can always tell when a big storm is brewing! Pop a Relpax and hunker down.Very rarely need to take more than 1 in 24 hours. F 57 8 years

2  Migraine My doctor gave me a sample pack when I told her that my previous medication Maxalt was taken much longer to take affect than it used to. I took the Replax with the onset of the migraine yet it took a full three hours before I felt any relief. Frequent unination and severe thirst, dry throat/mouth kept me awake for the remainder of the night. The next day I left very groggy and weak in the limbs. I do think think that I will be using Replax again and will stick with Maxalt. F 52 1 days

5  Migraines I have suffered migraines since my 20's. I avoid my food triggers, and now only get them when the barometric pressure drops. I bought a weather barometer, it helps me to understand why a migraine is starting. Sometimes i get the nausea first- relpax helps. The down side of relpax is it drains me of energy..the migraine eventually goes away, but drowsiness sets in and then i start to sweat... Only med that works for me. I started with 20 mg but now go right to the 40 mg the neurologist prescribed. F 61 1 days

5  Migraine I had no side effects when I first started taking Relpax. At that time, I needed it so much! Now, whenever I take one as I need them less frequently, I get sick to my stomach. It relieves my migraine pain tho, so that is what is important for me!! This is the only medicine that has EVER helped me..and I have tried pretty much all migraine meds over the years.. I believe it has been around 13 years on this medication..I cannot remember exactly when I started taking it tho as it has been awhile. Also, I must always have some of this on hand as it is the only thing that works for my migraines. With that being said, 6 pills at $256 is so much money!! We recently changed insurance plans and this is how much I have to pay. Tho, on my previous insurance it was only $10 with the Relpax savings card! It's crazy how it can be so expensive with one plan over another. F 38 13 years

5  Migraines since I am 19 Slight drowsiness, more frequent urination and occasionally hazy feeling; more sensitive to hot water on hands and hot drinks seems hotter after taking the pill. This is a miracle drug for me despite the minor side effects that I have. I do not even mind them but I am aware of them every time. I get about 8-10 migraines a month. I take the pill at the first onset of my migraine. I already feel relief within 30-45 min. Wipes it right out!! However, there are times when I decide to wait it out and then the migraine is so painful I can barely see straight...on those occasions, when I do finally take the pill, it takes longer for the pill to give me relief. I have never needed a second pill. F 47

5  migraine headaches Slight drowsiness, sensitive to hot water on hands and hot coffee seems hotter when taking the pill. Prior to taking Relpax my migraines would last 12 or more hours and my day would be spent in bed as soon as I feel it coming on I'll take 1 pill and that pretty much does the trick about 95% of the time and that's a miracle to me!!
