Eventually I started off with 5 mg. The next morning there were no effects, positive or negative. To be on the safe side I did not take any more that day. Then I took 5 mg the following day (day 3) and the morning after this I had a great erection. I followed the same pattern with holding off for a day and then taking 5 mg the next day. The results have been great erection-wise (the morning after taking it) with no side effects so far. Once I've tried taking 5 mg two days in a row and with no side effects. I've read quite a bit about people popping larger doses the first time they tried this. To my mind this is a mistake. Take it very slow to begin with and if you tolerate it over a period of time then increase the dosage slightly. My doctor gave me little guidance except for not going about 20 mg.
